Where is the gig located?

When is it on?

It is on the August Bank Holiday weekend 2024: Thursday 1st, Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August.
NB** Please remember, it is cheaper this year to buy the tickets online for €27.50, if purchased at the entrance gate you will be charged €30**

What should I wear or bring with me?

It is all outdoors in a full covered stand, but you should dress appropriately for this time of year, please bring warm clothes as it can get cold at night

What time do gates open at?

Gates open at 6pm On Thursday, at 5pm Friday & Saturday, 2pm on Sunday

Do you have to queue?

The queue will depend on the number of people attending at any one time, if a queue forms, we can open more turnstiles.

Are there special access facilities?

Yes, we have separate wheelchair/disability access

Is there parking available?

Limited general parking at the ground, however we have parking for approx. 20 disability users.

Main general parking is in the town carparks, the local schools and along the main road at the entrance to the ground. The furthest carpark is within a 5min walk to the venue.

Can I take food and drinks with me?

No, you will be able to purchase these at the event.

Age restrictions?

Thursday Night is a family event, all ages are welcome, Minors will not be allowed on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. These nights are for 18+.

Kids allowed?

Thursday Night only for our Monster Bingo.

Are pets allowed? 

No

How long does each act play?

The acts will play their set and this can vary from between 60mins and 90mins per act

Is it cash only or do they take cards?

We can take both cash and card at the event

Are there bank facilities on site? 

No Bank machine but be do offer cash back

Is there security?

Yes, there is event security on all entrances to the venue and at the rear of the seating area, there will be general marshals on site to aid an assist people, and An Garda Siochana will also be present at the venue.

What are the toilet facilities?

There are disabled toilets x2 in the disabled sections and there are 4 blocks of ladies’ toilets and 3 blocks of gent’s toilets

Is it seated or standing?

The covered area is all seating, but there is ample standing area in front of the stage.

Is it an outdoor event?

Yes - so wrap up well!

Is there a full bar and shop? - what do you sell?

There is a full bar, BBQ selling burgers and hotdogs and a full shop selling sandwiches, Tea, Coffee, minerals, Crisps, sweets etc.

Are there taxis or buses available?

Taxis and buses are very limited, but these can be arranged prior to the event

Is there accommodation available nearby?

Yes, there is a local hotel in the town and B&B’s nearby, please also check out accommodation at www.castleblayney.ie, also check out accommodation in our neighbouring towns of Carrickmacross and Monaghan Town

Can I camp overnight on the grounds?

NO, not this year, however there is spaces available for campervans in the nearby Lough Muckno estate.

How far to walk into the town centre?

Exactly 700m to the town centre.

Are there shops, bars and restaurants open near the venue?

Yes, there is a local Londis shop and petrol station and restaurant open 100m from the venue with a bank link facility.

If the event doesn't go ahead, do you get refunded?

You will firstly be offered the new rescheduled dates should these be available and if this is not suitable you will be offered a refund less the booking fee, no refunds will be given within 21 days prior to the event commencing on the 1st of August 2024.

Is there a cloak room?

Yes, Cost is €2 per item.

Is there a lost and found area?

Yes, this is located at the Cloak Room.

What items are prohibited?

Any alcohol not purchased from within the ground, Illegal drugs, dangerous or sharp items.
